Support us to benefit from our agenda – Ruto to Kamba community

Deputy President William Ruto has urged the Kamba community to support the Jubilee administration in its development agenda.

Speaking at Kasikeu Secondary School in Kilome Constituency, Makueni County on Wednesday, the Deputy President told the Kamba community that they stand to benefit from Jubilee as opposed to the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) that they are currently aligned to.

“I wish to ask the people of Ukambani to forget what happened in 2013 and support Jubilee come 2017 elections. We know you supported them then but this time let us walk this road together,” said Mr Ruto.

Mr Ruto was accompanied by several leaders from the region, who said they will continue to work with the government in solving the challenges facing the people of Ukambani despite repeated censures from the CORD leadership.

Mwingi Central MP, Joe Mutambo, who had accompanied the Deputy President said that they want development and not mere politicking.

“It is upon our people to make wise decisions. They should either support Jubilee if they want to be part of the government or continue sticking with opposition which is not taking us anywhere,” said Mutambo.

Ruto asked the leaders to put aside their  political differences and serve Kenyans  and assured them that the government will serve all Kenyans equally despite their political affiliations.
