Suspect killed, another injured after attacking police officers in Lamu

One suspect has been killed and another left nursing serious injuries after they attacked two police officers at Pate Island in Lamu County.

Confirming the incident, County Commissioner Irungu Macharia said the officers are stationed at Siyu Police Station.

The men in blue were reportedly on their way home on Thursday night after buying supper when they were accosted by the gangsters.

The cops managed to gun down one of the thugs while the other escaped with injuries and is presently being hunted down.

One of the police officers was also injured during the incident and is presently nursing panga injuries sustained on the head.
