Suspect linked to con game busted trying to board flight at JKIA

A man wanted for allegedly being involved in a con game was arrested as he tried to board a flight at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

Mr. Maundu Emmanuel Wambua is suspected of obtaining money by false pretenses and was arrested at 4am.

“He was this (Wednesday) morning arrested at JKIA while checking in for a Dubai-bound Ethiopian Airline flight in his bid to avoid facing the law,” the DCI said on Twitter.

Immigration officers at the JKIA alerted detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) who then cornered the suspect.

He is in custody pending arraignment.
