Suspected ISIS members charged in court

Two men alleged to be members of ISIS (The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) group have been charged with five counts of terrorism.

Abdirahman Idris Hassan, alias Zaky, Akhi and Salah Mohamed Khalif, alias Prince Salahudiin, were arraigned in Milimani Court, Nairobi Monday, September 26 where they were accused of being members of terror group ISIS and soliciting for funding to commission terrorist act.

They were further accused of organising meetings in the country in support of terror groups and recruiting Kenyan youth into terrorism and directing the commission of terrorist act in the country.

The accused denied the charges before Milimani Chief Magistrate, Daniel Ogembo. The Magistrate directed  the two be remanded in police custody pending bail application on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.

The prosecution indicated to object to the two being released on bail or bond terms.
