Suspected poachers arrested in Nyeri

Two suspected poachers have been arrested by police in Kyeni, Nyeri County.

According to Nyeri Central OCPD, Kioko Muinde, police acting on a tip off recovered 11 knives, a machete and an axe following the arrests.

Muinde added that the suspects, one from Muranga County and his accomplice from Embu County, are in police custody as investigations continue.

At the same time, police in Isiolo have arrested two suspects over an illegal arms racket in Isiolo County and 145 rounds of ammunition recovered.

Isiolo County Police Boss, Charles Ontita, said the suspects Hassan Golicha and Ali Hussein, will be charged in court on Friday, January 20 afternoon.
