Suspected serial rapist killed in Kirinyaga
Angry residents of Gathiriku village in Mwea, Kirinyaga County on Sunday lynched a 25-year-old man who is alleged to have been a serial rapist.
The deceased identified as Peter Mwangi was cornered at Riagiceru village, a day after he allegedly raped a 20-year-old girl in the area.
Area Assistant Chief peter Njuce Gachoki said he had received over 10 rape cases with the deceased being accused of being the perpetrator.
The deceased, according to his father, dropped out of school at Class Five in 2005 and started stealing despite several warnings.
The man’s body was taken to Kerugoya Referral Hospital mortuary.
