Suspects in lawyer Willie Kimani murder to remain in custody
Four AP officers and one taxi driver linked to the murder of human rights lawyer Willie Kimani and two others will have to wait a little longer for the hearing of their bail application.
This is after the fifth accused persons told the court that he was not ready to continue with the hearing since he has not yet been served with the court documents and all the witness statements that the prosecution intends to rely on.
The four Aps, Senior Sergeant Fredrick Leliman, Sergeant Leonard Mwangi, Corporal Stephen Chebulet and Constable Silvia Wanjiku’s bail application will now be heard on October 31st.
Also charged with the murder is Peter Ngugi Kamau, alias Brown, suspected to have driven the taxi that the three men used before they were abducted by their killers and tortured to death.
