Taita Child with Albinism Faces Life Threats
Published on: September 16, 2014 10:44 (EAT)
A family in Taita Taveta along the Kenya-Tanzania border is looking for a refuge for its five-year old son living with albinism to protect him from possible death in the hands of abductors. The nursery school pupil has twice been rescued from kidnappers forcing his father to accompany him everywhere he goes armed with a bow and arrows. Allegations are rife that witchdoctors in Tanzania use body parts of people living with albinism as their tools of trade.
