Tanzanian man allegedly commits suicide in Migori

Police in Migori County are investigating the death of a Tanzanian whose body was discovered on Tuesday evening hanging from a rope tied to a tree.

The man has since been identified as Chacha Olupe.

Locals found his body in a thicket at Muhurubay, Nyatike sub county.

Migori county police commander Joseph Nthenge said investigations to ascertain the cause of death have begun as they await autopsy results.

The county administrator further alluded to suicide as the cause of death.

Nthenge also said they are yet to establish why the deceased would have taken his own life adding that police are searching for his family members to shed light into the incident.
