Tanzanian nationals jailed over possession of game meat

A Kilgoris court on Thursday sentenced two Tanzanian residents to prison after they were found in possession of game meat.

The two, Chacha Wambura and Chacha Keroka, were sentenced to three years or a fine of Sh450,000 and six months or a fine of Sh210,000 respectively.

The Tanzanian nationals had been charged for being in possession of warthog meat valued at Sh2000 and for being in the country illegally.

The two are currently held at the Kisii GK prison.
