Tanzanian President John Magufuli expected in the country Monday

Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli is set to make his maiden trip to Kenya on Monday next week.

President Magufuli, will be in the country for a two day State Visit, that will see him affirm his country’s position on the candidature of Foreign Secretary, Ambassador Amina Mohamed for the African Union Commission Chair.

Ambassador Mohamed was set to address a news conference to formally announce her bid on Friday, but postponed it to a later date.

Citizen TV has learnt that while in the country, President Magufuli is also expected to discuss the prevailing situations in Burundi and South Sudan, as the East African countries rally for peace in these two nations.

The Tanzanian Head of State will visit KVM – Kenya’s car assembly plant in Thika, as well as Brookside dairies.

His host, President Uhuru Kenyatta, is also expected to lobby for a clear stand on work permits for Kenyans living and working in Tanzania.

President Magufuli has been hailed by many for his different style in leadership.

This, will become the third African nation he will visit since taking over the Presidency in Tanzania.
