Tassia building collapse: Several people still trapped in rubble
An unknown number of people are said to be still trapped under the rubble after a four-storey building collapsed in Tassia, Embakasi.
When Citizen TV arrived at the scene, some of them were heard crying for help.
Residents said the building started sinking into the ground at 5am on Friday and all the floors were inhabited.
First aid responders from the Kenya Red Cross, St. John’s Ambulance and Emergency Plus Medical Services (EMS Kenya) are at the scene.
Electricity lines were seen leaning close to the building with one of the power cables affected.
