Teenager suffers kidney failure after being beaten by father

A young girl is suffering from kidney failure after she was brutally beaten by her stepfather in Bungoma County.

She is contending with poor health under the care of her grandmother in Nakuru County.

He two kidneys are affected.

Several family members are now demanding that the culprit be prosecuted immediately.

A dispute between the stepfather and her mother spurred him to attack the teenager after her mother flee.

Efforts to report the episode to the police proved futile as the incident was first reported in Bungoma and the grandmother has not been successful to commute from her Nakuru home to follow up the case.
