Ten Year Old ‘Commits Suicide’ In Embu

The body of Festus Karanja Munene was found dangling on a tree outside his parents' home.

Embu West OCPD Terry Michemi said the body of the boy was found with his school uniform on.

Michemi said the boy’s body was discovered at around 8PM when his relatives went out to look for him after he failed to return home from school.

Teachers in Kithimu Primary school where the standard five student attended school said that he seemed normal and showed no signs of discomfort.

The police have launched investigations to determine the exact cause of the boy's death.

Munene’s body has been moved to the Embu Level Five Hospital Mortuary awaiting a postmortem examination.
