Terror suspect arrested, explosives recovered
Security agencies have recovered a hoard of firearms and explosives from a terror suspect who was arrested in Garrisa on Wednesday, August 26th, 2015
Police recovered three AK-47 riffles, 227 rounds of ammunition, seven rocket-propelled grenades, four magazines, four hand grenades, a metallic IED carrier, soldering wire and several mobile phones.
This comes just a day after reports emerged that six Tanzanians suspected to be on their way to join Al Shabaab in Somalia were arrested in Garissa on Sunday.
The Tanzanians aged between 20 and 40 were arrested in Dadaab town, from where they were planning to close into Somalia
According to reports, the suspected terror immigrants were also in possession of assorted weapons.
