Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. Jacob Kaimenyi has hailed teachers for their role in identifying talents among children.

Kaimenyi, who graced National Music Festivals last performances at the Christ is the Answer Ministries (CITAM) in Kisumu, says he was thrilled by the performances and lauded teachers for nurturing talents in primary and secondary schools as well as in the institutions of higher learning.

He further told teachers that the identification process should be inclusive to ensure gifted and talented children are not disadvantaged on the basis of gender, racial, cultural or socio-economic backgrounds.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected in Kisumu Friday to grace State House music gala where the best performing institutions will have the opportunity to present their pieces at the Kisumu State Lodge.
