The August 8 polls date remains intact – Uhuru

President Uhuru Kenyatta has once again hit out at opposition NASA leaders of trying to use the courts to postpone the General Election.

Speaking during a campaign rally in Ukunda, Kwale County, President Uhuru said the Jubilee Party will not accept the August 8 date for the polls to be interfered with, saying Kenyans are ready for the elections as stipulated in the Constitution.

President Uhuru also said the expansion of infrastructure and the construction of new ports is part of the government’s plan to expand the economy, to enable the growth of more business that will create more jobs.

The Head of State also said the Jubilee Government does not engage in blame games, but has provided solutions for Kenyans.
