The Makonde People Of Kwale

The Makonde community has been living in Kwale on the Kenyan coast for close to a hundred years. But the 40,000 members of this tribe remain uncertain about their nationality. The community that originated from Mozambique claims its members have been denied recognition as Kenyan citizens by successive governments who consider them foreigners. But as Evelyn Wambui reports, the Makonde insist Kwale is the only home they know.
