Thieves break into Kirinyaga’s county offices, steal computers
Police in Kirinyaga County are investigating an incident where unknown people broke into Kirinyaga County finance offices and stole seven computers.
Confirming the incident, Kirinyaga police commander David Rono Bunei said the finance offices are located on the ground floor of Kirinyaga County Commissioner’s offices.
He added that the break in was peculiar because the whole building is well guarded.
Bunei , who conceded that this was not the first theft incident to take place, ordered detectives to carry out thorough investigations because police guarding the County Commissioner’s offices heard nothing during the robbery.
Last year a gang of three men armed with two assault rifles stormed Kangema Health Centre and stole an ambulance.
