Thika police launch probe after man found murdered, skinned

A 36-year-old man was on Monday found murdered and his body skinned in Thika, Kiambu County.

The body of the deceased, Simon Githae, was discovered in Gatuanyaga by area residents who then alerted the police.

The body was then transferred to the General Kago Funeral Home where it was positively identified by family members.

Thika East police boss Namutali Kutima said a probe has since been launched, adding that the deceased worked at a flower farm and even showed up for a work a day before meeting his death.

Kutima said the incident is being treated as a murder, further that they will also be looking into his mobile phone records to establish his last contacts.
