Thika road accident death toll hits 11

The death toll from Wednesday’s accident on the Thika-Nairobi superhighway has now hit 11.

This was after four more victims succumbed to their injuries in the various hospitals that they were rushed to following the accident.

At least 11 other are still in a critical condition in Nairobi hospitals.

According to Kasarani OCPD Robinson Mboloi, the accident occurred after driver of a lorry carrying building bricks lost control and hit a minibus which hit rail guards, then overturned landing on a 14-seater Nanyuki-bound matatu. Two personal vehicles were also hit in the multiple-car crash.
