Three dead, three rescued in Lake Naivasha boat tragedy
Three fishermen have been confirmed dead and three others rescued after their boat capsized on Lake Naivasha at Karagita area, Wednesday night.
It is reported that the fishermen were heading back to shore at 7pm after a fishing expedition before the unfortunate accident occurred.
The survivors narrated that the boat capsized due to strong winds and waves.
They later were rescued Thursday morning by fellow fishermen after spending the whole night atop the capsized boat.
Authorities are still searching for one of the bodies of the deceased.
This comes just a week after two children died while 21 people escaped death narrowly after a boat they were in capsized following a collision with a stationary boat in Lake Victoria.
