Three die in yet another grisly crash at Salgaa

The death toll from the accident that occurred at the Migaa black spot near Salgaa, Nakuru County last night has risen to three.

According to Rongai OCPD Joseph Mwamburi, three survivors were admitted at the Nakuru Level 5 Hospital following the 10.30pm accident.

The accident occurred after one of the trucks heading to Nakuru from Eldoret lost its breaks and rammed into another one.

According to police, the trucks burnt into flames on impact, killing one person on the spot. One other person died while being rushed to hospital while the third one died while receiving treatment at Nakuru Provisional Hospital.

Eyewitnesses said a trailer that was transporting boards from Eldoret to Nakuru hit another trailer pushing it to the opposite lane where it hit the third trailer.

Members of the public have urged the government to provide a lasting solution to the frequent accidents witnessed in the area.

The bodies of the deceased have been taken to Nakuru County mortuary and Nakuru Level 5 Hospital mortuary.
