Three family members die in Narok accident

Three people died and two others were injured on Sunday in a road accident at Ketrako area in Narok town.

The five family members were heading to Nairobi from Kisii when the rear tyre of the personal car they were travelling in burst causing the vehicle to veer off the road and roll several times.

The two survivors were rushed to Narok Referral Hospital where the doctor in charge of the emergency unit, Dr. Sadera Geoffrey, caused they were receiving treatment in a stable condition.

The five were travelling from a funeral in Oyugis when the accident occurred.

The ill-fated car was towed to Narok Police Station as police begin investigations into the cause of the accident.

Still on Sunday, two people died while over 26 others were injured on Sunday after a bus they were travelling in lost control and rolled several times at Josa area in Mwatate, Taita Taveta County.

Twenty-six passengers who were seriously injured were rushed to Moi Referral Hospital in Voi while 10 others were taken to Wesu Hospital in Wundanyi and Mwatate Sub-district hospital.
