Three GSU officers killed in Baringo accident

Three GSU officers were on Tuesday evening killed while three others were injured after their vehicle was involved in an accident at Kaptimbor along the Kabarnet – Iten Road in Baringo County.

According to eye witnesses, the police vehicle, a Toyota Landcruiser, was speeding while negotiating a sharp bend before the driver lost control causing it to roll severally.

The injured were rushed to Baringo County Referral  Hospital for first aid before being transferred to Eldoret for specialized treatment.

Residents have now called on the government to erect bumps and road signs along the sections of the road they say is notorious with accidents.

The GSU vehicle was heading Rimoi, Elgeyo Marakwet County when the accident happened.
