Three Kapsoya children were strangled before being drowned – Autopsy

Autopsy results conducted on Thursday, May 25 indicate that the three children of Kapsoya KANU MCA aspirant, James Ratemo, were strangled before their bodies were drowned into River Nzoia.

Ratemo’s three children went missing after they attended a church service at Eldoville SDA Church in Kapsoya, Eldoret on Saturday, May 13.

The bodies of the first two children were found and taken to the mortuary on the May 16 and 17.

The body of the third child was retrieved from the same river on the May 19.

According to the pathologist who conducted the postmortem at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Kibet Keitany, the bodies had wounds on the neck and chest showing signs of strangulation.

The burial of Clifford Nyambane, Dan Nyamweya, and Glen Ongagi, which was planned to take place later this week, might not take place after the county government denied the family a permit to bury their loved ones at their residential plot at Kapsoya estate, an estate in the outskirt of Eldoret Town.

The family spokesman, Charles Nyamweya, said the family will have to find out other options.
