Three killed in car crash on Kisumu-Busia highway

Three people died on the spot after they were involved in a grisly road accident near the Ligega trading center along the busy Kisumu-Busia Highway on Friday night.

The three people who were on a motorbike died after their motorcycle was knocked from behind by a speeding vehicle that was heading towards Kisumu.

According to Siaya County Police Commander Francis Kooli, the driver of the private vehicle sustained minor injuries and was rushed to the nearby Sega Mission Hospital where he was treated and discharged.

The Police boss who confirmed the 8.30 pm incident, stated that the three bodies were removed to Ambira sub-county hospital mortuary to await postmortem while the vehicle and the seriously damaged motorcycles towed to Ugunja police station.
