Three killed in dawn Bomet accident

Three people died Friday, October 14 morning following a road accident involving a boda boda and a bus.

The 4:00 am at Rock area along the Narok – Nairobi highway, occurred when the bus, belonging to the Guardian Angel Company collided with an oncoming motorcycle that was carrying three people.

Bomet police boss, Abel Sande, said that the bus belonging was heading to Nairobi while the boda boda was heading to Bomet town.

“The accident happened at 4:00 am near the bridge at Rock area along Bomet – Longisa road,” said the police boss.

The bus driver recorded a statement with the police after they visited the scene and cleared the wreckage that had caused a traffic snarl up for hours.

The bodies of the deceased were removed to Longisa County Referral Hospital mortuary.

Following the incident, Bomet Town Boda Boda Operators Chairman, Samson Korir, urged riders to observer traffic rules and wear the appropriate gear as required by the law.
