Three killed in Kisii road crash

The death toll in the Kisii-Kisumu road accident at Egesa-Kiogaro area has risen to three after one survivor of the accident succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at the Kisii Level Five Hospital.

Two people died on the spot and several others injured after a 14-seater matatu they were travelling in lost control and crashed a wall at Egesa-Kiogaro area in Kisii County.

According to eye witnesses, the 14-seater matatu, which was heading to Kisii from Kisumu, lost control after hitting a pothole on the Kisii-Kisumu road.

Area residents have now appealed to the government to repair the road which they say has caused several accidents due to it’s poor state.

The bodies of the victims were removed to Kisii Level Five Hospital Mortuary.
