Three killed in Nyamira accident

Three people, among them a lorry driver, were on Friday, March 10 killed following a road accident at Rangenyo in Nyamira County along the Nyamira – Kisumu Road.

Nyamira OCPD, Riko Ngare, said the driver of the lorry lost control of the vehicle that was transporting construction blocks from Narok to Nyamira.

Mr Ngare said that the driver was unable to navigate the meandering section of the Rangenyo road leading to the accident.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver had little understanding of this road. However, we will carry further mechanical investigations on the vehicle for us to draw a conclusive report,” said the OCPD.

Riko added that they successfully removed the bodies of the deceased to Nyamira General Hospital mortuary.
