Three killed in Voi accident

Three people were killed on Friday night in Voi, Taita Taveta County, after the motorbike they were riding on collided with a car on Voi-Mwatate road.

According to Taita Taveta Traffic Commander Michael Mureithi, two passengers who were riding on the motrobike died on the spot, and the third one died while receiving treatment, at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Voi.

Passengers who were aboard the car sustained minor injuries.

Eyewitnesses say the vehicle was speeding when it hit the motorbike, rolling severally.

The bodies have been taken to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital’s mortuary.

Mureithi has urged all road users to be careful on the roads in a bid to curb road accidents.
