Three killed, one injured in Migori fight

Three people were killed and one seriously injured after a fight broke out on Saturday night at Kamresi village in Awendo, Migori County.

One of the deceased identified as Baki was hacked to death by unknown people a few meters away from the home of the bereaved.

The other two, who were suspected to have taken part in Baki’s killing were lynched on Sunday morning in a revenge attack by locals residents.

Area Assistant Chief Orpha Otieno said one other suspect was injured but managed to escape the mob lynching.

“One suspect who was in the company of the lynched suspects managed to escape the mob trap and disappeared in a nearby sugarcane plantation,” said Ms Otieno.

Police have since launched further investigations into the incident.
