Three killed, others injured after speeding driver rams into pedestrians in Nyali

Three people were on Sunday morning killed and three others injured after a driver lost control of his vehicle and rammed into pedestrians on Nyali bridge on the Mombasa-Malindi road.

Confirming the incident, Kisauni OCPD Christopher Limo said all the deceased and injured persons were pedestrians.

According to Mr. Limo, the driver of the Subaru vehicle who was speeding when he crashed into the pedestrians, fled the scene and is currently still at large.

The police boss further stated that investigations into the incident are underway and that they are in pursuit of the culprit.

Bodies of the deceased were transferred to the Coast General Hospital mortuary.
