Three months of thirst in Tana River

With the current water shortage in the country, Tana River residents turned out in large numbers to protest the water shortage in the area that has now entered the third month.

Madogo residents have raised numerous complaints over failure by the Tana River Water and Sewerage Company (TAWASCO) to provide water to them.

Led by youth leader, Saddam Hussein, the residents say they are tired of having expectant mothers and children walk for over five kilometers in search for water.

The residents are now forced to get water from Tana River, where a woman was recently attacked by a crocodile and her body still remains undiscovered.
