Three Stephjoy boys to face murder charges

Three Stephjoy High School students who were arrested on Monday following a fire that claimed the lives of three of their colleagues will be arraigned at the High Court in Nairobi on Friday to face murder charges.

According to Limuru Criminal Investigation Officer Mwenda Etheiba, the just concluded investigations revealed that three out of the eleven boys who were arrested may have caused the fire.

“We have isolated the three boys because there is evidence linking them to the fire incident,” said Etheiba.

Appearing before a Limuru court on Thursday, Limuru Senior Principal Magistrate George Odunga directed that police have until Friday to present any pending evidence.

Meanwhile, the eleven boys are being held at the Tigoni Police Station after a court allowed police to hold them to facilitate further investigations.
