Three suspected drug barons arrested in Mombasa

Police have arrested three suspected drug barons in ongoing operation against drugs and illegal firearms in Coast region.

Coast Regional coordinator Nelson Marwa says the two were arrested in Lamu while the third suspect was arrested in Mombasa.

Speaking in Mombasa, Marwa said that they recovered four firearms from the suspect’s house and is still under investigation.

He has accused Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, of interfering with the ongoing operation by storming the police station adding that Joho was not under arrest.
