Three suspected robbers lynched in Nyandarua

Three suspected robbers were Sunday morning lynched by angry residents in Ndunyu Njeru, Nyandarua County.

The three are said to have been part of a gang that has been breaking into houses and shops in the area.

According to the irate locals, the suspects had acquired dogs which they walked around with at night scaring locals and forcing them to surrender before robbing them.

The three who were known to the residents as notorious criminals were traced to a location within the area where they were set ablaze.

According to the residents, crime incidents have been on the rise in the area, with robbers also targeting crops in farms, milking cows and stealing building material from construction sites.

The remains of the three were moved to the mortuary by police.
