Three-year old accident survivor in search for relatives

A three-year old girl who survived the Sunday night road accident at Ngata Bridge along the Nakuru – Eldoret highway that claimed seven lives is yet to be traced by her relatives after her parents perished in the deadly crash.

The girl, identified as Angela Matende, suffered a fracture of the tibia and fibula of right leg and hand with a deep cut on the head.

The girl admitted at the Nakuru Level Five Hospital is in a stable condition though in great pain according to medics.

According to Jennifer Mathenge, the medic attending to her, the minor was brought in on Monday morning by a good samaritan.

The girl was in the North Rift Shuttle matatu that collided with a trailer killing seven people on the spot.

Angela identifies her parents as Stella Ebei (mother) and Robert Matara (father) and her sister as Mercy.

The management of the Nakuru Level Five Hospital has called on anyone with information on the child to contact the hospital on +254 720 465 760.

On Sunday night, seven people perished in a grisly road accident near Ngata Bridge along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway after a trailer collided with an eleven-seater Matatu at around 10.30PM.
