TNA Wrangles Will Be Cured By Party Polls, Says strategist

This is according to the party’s strategist Moses Kuria, who says the party should hold elections from the grassroots level in order to establish a broad-based, wananchi-endorsed leadership structure that will then guide the party as it prepares to battle ODM in the 2017 General Election.

Speaking during a fundraiser held at Ithenguri Secondary school in Nyeri Town constituency, Kuria added that TNA will give Mary Wambui a direct nomination to vie for the Othaya seat which she lost following a court ruling earlier this month.

This comes after the wrangles within the national alliance party came to the fore with members opposed to the current party leadership making good their boycott threat on the Naivasha retreat.

Only 8 out of 25 invited members of parliament attended the first day of the retreat called by the party leadership to develop a future strategy.

Party officials downplayed the boycott saying anyone interested in changing the party leadership should wait for the five year period stipulated in the party constitution.
