Traders reject proposed Finance Bill

Kiambu traders have now rejected some of the proposals in the Finance Draft Bill presented to them by the county government during a public participation forum.

Speaking during Finance Bill public participation forum, the traders insisted they were ready to pay all county levies as long as they were within the law.

This, they say, will help in ensuring that quality service delivery is maintained across the county and that they get value for their money.

They further called for more consultations since they had earlier raised some contentious issues on the levies to be paid.

Present in the meeting was the Kiambu county Chief of Staff Sammy Onyango who urged the traders to form a consultative forum that will enable them air their grievances in an organized and collective manner.

Onyango further promised the traders that the issues will be addressed.
