Traffic snarl up on Waiyaki Way cleared

The traffic buildup on Waiyaki Way that was caused by an accident has been cleared, police have said.

“Motorists can now access the city as usual,” a statement on their official Twitter account said.

Transport had been paralysed after a trailer overturned blocking the entire road.

The trailer tipped over and landed on an Uthiru-bound matatu.

Commuters were stranded for several hours as motorists lamented over lack of alternative routes.
