Treasury rejects UNDP presidential ballot printing offer

The government has rejected the electoral commission’s request to have the United Nations Development Programme procure ballot papers and results forms on its behalf.
Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich has told Vitizen TV, that the request was denied because the government is fully funding the repeat poll budget.
And as the clock ticks towards the October 26 poll date, IEBC will have the ballots printed by Dubai-based firm Al Ghurair, despite protests by NASA.
