Trump deports five Kenyans over immigration issues

Five Kenyans and 67 Somalia nationals have been deported from the U.S. over immigration issues.

Police and immigration officials said a private plane carrying the 72 individuals landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Friday, May 12 morning after a long journey that started from several U.S. states.

The Somalia nationals have been transported to their country.

The deportations had been anticipated given ongoing operations in the U.S. targeting illegal immigrants.

This is the second batch of immigrants to be deported from the U.S. in five months since Donald Trump took over.

In January, 2017 two Kenyans and 90 Somalis were deported from the U.S. over immigration reasons.
