Tuk Tuk ‘robbers’ lynched by Nyando residents

Two notorious gangsters believed to be behind various robberies in Nyakach were lynched Thursday, October 13 by angry residents of Katito Shopping Center in Nyakach, Kisumu County.

The residents said that they decided to take the law into their own hands after law enforcers failed to act on previous cases.

According to Kisumu County Administration Police Commander, Joseph Keitany, the two suspects have been on the police list of most wanted criminals and were linked to several robberies.

Keitany noted that suspects, who were using a Tuk Tuk to ferry the stolen goods, were killed by the mob that accused some people from around Kisumu town of protecting them.

The AP urged the locals not leave their homes and premises unattended to.

Their bodies were removed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
