Tunai: I Will Not Resign

Ole Tunai told the leaders who have been organizing rallies and demonstrations to wait for their turn for leadership, insisting that he was in control of the county and was going to stay put in office with the agenda of developing the county.

Tunai, who was speaking in Olmekenyu secondary school during a fundraiser, said that the leaders who were calling for him to step aside were only out to taint his name and disrupt development.

Ole Tunai said he was elected to deliver services for all residents of Narok regardless of tribe or clan affiliations.

The governor said that he would appoint leaders according to merit, as it was the right for each tribe to enjoy leadership positions.

Tunai said he would deliver services to all and in an equitable manner.

Leaders, led by Narok senator Stephen Ole Ntutu, are opposed to Tunai’s leadership and had threatened to mobilize the public to pitch camp at the county headquarters today, Monday, if he refused to resign.

However, the meeting was cancelled after the leaders met President Kenyatta and agreed to let the National government to conduct investigations on the raised disputes.
