Two 6-year-old children from Kaplelwo village in Kiptere are nursing injuries at Sigowet Hospital after a 35-year-old man hacked and injured them for stealing maize from his farm without consent.
Kiptere sub-location assistant chief David Kipkurui confirmed the incident saying the man identified as Robert Chepkwony inflicted injuries on the two boys
According to reports, Chepkowny dragged the two boys to his house and cut them with a knife as a way of disciplining them.
Neighbors were alerted by loud wailing and rushed to find the two lying on a pool of their own blood.
They were quickly rushed to the Sigowet Hospital where they were admitted.
After committing the heinous act, the man attempted to flee but was caught by members of the public who frog-marched him to Sondu police station where he is being held while awaiting to be arraigned in court.
