Two arrested, 600 litres of illicit brew nabbed in Migori

Two people were arrested on Monday after they were found in possession of 600 liters of illicit brew at Bar-Osimbo sub-location in Alego/Usonga sub-county.

According to the Assistant County Commissioner of Karemo division Mr Wilson Wachira, the two were nabbed with 600 liters of Kangara and six liters of chang’aa following a tip off from members of the community.

He revealed that through the help of national government administrators in South East Alego location and the locals they have managed to nab the woman who was making the brew together with one of her customers.

Speaking during the operation to confiscate the illicit liquor, Mr Wachira issued a stern warning to all illicit brewers that that they would not stop until all illicit brewers are arrested.

“The individuals who will be nabbed during this crackdown will serve as an example to the rest. They should know their days are numbered,” he said.
