Two arrested over murder of couple in Kakamega

Police officers from Likuyani Constituency in Kakamega have apprehended two suspects linked to the brutal murder of a couple from Soi area in the same county a few weeks ago.

The two are believed to be part of a four-man gang wanted for the killing of a husband and wife whose bodies were found grievously injured at their home on the night of June 5 this year.

The deputy police commissioner in the area confirmed the arrests, adding that two other accomplices managed to escape and are still at large.

“A manhunt is already underway for the two fugitives. We have enough leads to assure the public that the two will be brought to justice,” the deputy police commissioner said.

“The law will fulfill its mandate but the public should give the police some time to conclude our investigations.”

The commissioner urged the locals to volunteer information on the whereabouts of the two other suspects.
