Two arrested with fake money in Homa Bay

Police in Homa Bay county have arrested two men in possession of papers which were intended for manufacturing fake currency notes worth Ksh.1.34 million.

The two suspects in possession of the dark papers were arrested at a hotel in Kendu-Bay town last evening by police who were acting on a tip-off.

Homa Bay County Police Commander Marius Tum confirmed that the suspects were also in possession of three bottles of some liquid suspected to be part of the reagents used in the manufacturing of fake money.

Mr. Tum said one of the suspects was a resident of Homa Bay County while the other hails from Nairobi County.

The police boss says investigations are underway as the suspects await to be arraigned in court upon completion of investigation.
