Two brothers murdered by mob in Kitengela buried in Nyahururu

The last journey of the two brothers, 30 year-old Fredrick Mureithi Wanjiru and 25-year-old Victor Mwangi Wanjiru began at the Kenyatta University Mortuary–emotions running high as family, relatives and friends viewed the bodies.

Escorts band battalion leading the funeral procession while beating drums perhaps to provide a little solace but as soon as the bodies arrived home, a somber mood engulfed the place.

And when Lucy Wanjiru, mother to the deceased read her tribute, hundreds of mourners who turned up to pay their last respects to the two brothers could not hold back tears

“Our last conversation mum unapendwa, we spoke at length about your birthday.. didn’t know it was your last moments…” Wanjiru said on Friday.

Neighbors eulogised Fredrick and Victor as young energetic men who were murdered without reason

The cries for justice were the order of the day among speakers who addressed mourners, with the local MP also in attendance

“There’s no way four people can be killed in the same way and let it go like that…mambo ya mauaji…kisha unaachiliwa ni sheria ambayo haifai ata kidogo,” Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni said.

The two were among four young men murdered a week ago in Kitengela area of Kajiado County.

One suspect in the killings Benson Ole Mungai is in custody as police pursue more suspects.

One more victim, Nicholas Musa will be buried Saturday in Machakos County
